About the atelier

Savile Row Tradition, Victoria Heart

Finch & Co. was founded by David Finch, a third-generation tailor who trained on Savile Row before bringing his craft to Victoria, British Columbia. Alongside his wife Maria, who manages alterations and women's tailoring, they've built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and personal service.

Every garment that leaves our atelier is crafted entirely on-site, never outsourced. We believe in the value of personal attention, honest advice, and the transformative power of clothing that truly fits.

Frequently asked

Common Questions

What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure?

Bespoke means we create a unique pattern for your body and build the garment from scratch. Made-to-measure adjusts an existing pattern to your measurements. Our bespoke process offers superior fit and customization.

How long does it take to make a bespoke suit?

A bespoke suit takes 6-8 weeks from first consultation to delivery. This includes pattern drafting, fabric sourcing, construction, and 2-3 fitting sessions to ensure a perfect fit.

What happens at the first consultation?

Your first consultation is a free 30-minute meeting where we discuss your style, needs, and budget. We'll take preliminary measurements and show you fabric options. There's no pressure to commit.

How long do alterations take?

Standard alterations take 1-2 weeks. Rush service is available for urgent needs. We'll give you an accurate timeline at your fitting appointment.

Do you dress wedding parties?

Yes, we specialize in wedding parties. Maria handles fittings for women's tailoring and bridal party needs, while David manages the groom and groomsmen. We recommend booking 4-6 months in advance.
